MY RPM IS READING TOO HIGH?

There is few things you can do to fix this. Try these things in this order. 1. connect RPM cable with ONE SINGLE cable tie to the mid point of the spark plug lead. This means as far away from the spark plug cap and the ignition module. DO NOT wrap RPM cable around spark plug lead as this will make reads high. Do not use supplied red RPM clip 2. upgrade firmware to latest version. 3. Contact Alfano Australia for further advice.

REPAIR OR WARRANTY – WHAT DO I NEED TO SEND?

It is always good to send complete unit with sensors. If you know 100% where the problem is (eg; smash LCD screen) then just send unit. With the newer Alfano Systems it is a must to send BOX, DISPLAY and cable connecting them.

MY ALFANO IS NOT RECORDING TIMES?

Sounds simple but check your magnetic pick up sensor for damage. 9 times out of 10 the sensor has been cut by side cutters, crimped or bent at right angles or worn through from rubbing on track or kart. If this is the case you can purchase a new one in the SHOP section. If this is not the case contact us for repair quote – we will check the whole system and find the problem.

YOUR ADM BX4, BX4GPS OR BX10 NOT FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY?

General issues with these ADM units can be fixed by simply downloading and installing the latest FIRMWARE. Similar to a iphone or ipad there have been updates in FIRMWARE that will give your system more options and run better. You can download the latest firmware from the downloads section. If this is not the case contact us for repair quote.

MY ALFANO PRO PLUS OR ASTRO DOESN’T TURN ON?

Remove battery cap and look inside for residue of battery acid. your batteries may have leaked and damaged battery cap or circuit board. If so contact us for repair.

MY ALFANO WON’T CONNECT VIA BLUETOOTH?

This can be one of a few things. Its best to shut all other programs down and only have Alfano software running. Either turn bluetooth on the computer OR insert bluetooth dongle that comes with your unit. DO NOT HAVE BOTH GOING AT SAME TIME IT WONT WORK When typing in parameters into system be aware that there NEVER IS THE LETTER O. They are always the number 0 (zero). Basically don’t confuse a letter O with what you should be typing in which is a 0 (zero). If this is not the case contact us for repair quote.

MY ADM ALFANO TURNS OFF WHILE I’M DRIVING?

Have you got the new spec battery cap installed? This is grey in colour not black. Check your power cable that connects box to display. This could be damaged or coming loose. If this is not the case contact us for repair quote.

MAGNETIC STRIPS / GPS / INFRARED TRANSMITTING ?

The strips are formed of magnets inserted into the track. They do not need electricity, batteries or maintenance of any kind. They emit a constant magnetic energy for about 200 years. If there are no magnetic strips in the circuit then you have the option of using GPS or Infrared Becon/Receiver.

HOW LONG HAS ALFANO BEEN ON THE MARKET AND WHEN DID ALFANO AUSTRALIA START DEALING WITH THEM ?

WHAT DATA CAN I SEE WHILE DRIVING ?

You can see the data during the race. Indeed, the LCD is designed to allow you to see the most important information while your driving. On the BX4 BX10 and PRO III evo you have a number of different screen options to allow you to choose which is the most important information you want to view while on track. But you can also recall all the data, turn, when you get back to the pits.

DOES IT WORK WITH 2 STROKE AND 4 STROKE ?

Yes you can choose from either in the settings menu.

WHAT TEMPERATURE GAUGES ARE AVAILABLE ?

You have the temperature option of Water /Oil  (WT), Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) and  Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT)

WHAT ARE THE WARNING SIGNS ON THE LCD DISPLAY WHILE YOU ON TRACK ?

Temperature, RPM, the fastest lap, the difference between the best lap and the current lap.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE RAIN, IS YOUR SYSTEM WATERPROOF ?

Alfano units are fully sealed, they are waterproof to IP56 standards. But that does not mean they are completely waterproof. You cannot submerge the Alfano system in water.  If you have any problems when racing in the rain, just make sure that the connectors are well protected.

HOW DOES THE WARRANTY / REPAIRS WORK ?

All our products have a extended two year warranty excluding the cost of transportation to the repair center. Of course, there is damage of unit (LCD or other) due to an accident, crash or a shock, we will quote you for repair and then only repair with instruction from yourself. The warranty is void if you open the sealed unit of your ALFANO. Eg. Take it apart.
